Attend Joelton High School 50+
Reunion
Honoring the Class of 1957
Members of
the Joelton High School Classes
of 1932 through 1957 gathered for
lunch and fellowship at their 50+
Reunion on September 9, 2007 at
First Baptist Joelton.
The Class of 1957 was inducted
into the ranks of those who
graduated at least 50 years ago
from the school "on our
county's northern border."
Members of the class of 1956
hosted the event that drew 210
alumni, spouses, guests, and
former teachers from places as
far away as New Mexico, Utah,
Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
Music from the 1950's was
provided by Kim Morton and
Melissa Duke. Colonel Jim
"Dunebuggy" Russell was
the master of ceremony.
Special recognition was given to
Elizabeth (Mrs. Jack) Williams
who served Joelton High/Middle
School for 25 years as teacher
and guidance counselor. Rebecca
Zimmerle Webb also received
special recognition as was one of
the ladies who helped get this
annual event started in 1978. She
has not missed any of the
reunions. The
"youngest" alumna
present was Evelyn Cooper Jones,
95, Class
of 1932.
The next 50+ Reunion is set for
September 6, 2008. The class of
1958 will be honored.
Thanks to Sarah Anderson for
providing the information for
